Kirralee & David: Australian Beach Wedding

Kirralee and David's wedding was a perfect combination of understated elegance and laid-back, beachy style.  Despite great organization and planning by the couple, nothing could have prepared them for the worst storms in forty years hitting their area the day before the wedding!  When Kirralee's taxi driver looked out the window on the rainy morning of her wedding, he told her she was crazy for planning on getting married on the beach later that day.  However, Kirralee's confidence was boosted while she was getting ready when she received a bouquet of red roses and a romantic love note from her groom to be.  Her make up was done by Annette, an highly creative and professional make up artist from Palmm Designs.  Her Angela Marcuccio gown was silk satin with french lace, and she wore it with the opal brooch her grandmother wore at her own wedding in 1949.  Her bridesmaids wore beachy, multi-colored dresses from Review because Kirralee "didn't want the formal block colored normal dresses".  The bride and her maids were transported to the ceremony site in a black Daimler limousine.

Fortunately, after a gray, rainy morning the sun came out and the couple was able to proceed with their Brighton Beach ceremony.  As Kirralee walked down the beach in her bare feet with her parents at her side, she "couldn't have been a happier woman!  How lucky I was to be marrying the love of my life!"  Jane Clifton married them in a beautiful ceremony with their closest family and friends.  Jane was a down to earth and funny celebrant.  She wrote a personalized ceremony, and it was something the couple says they will remember forever.  Their vows were very personal and also involved a beach theme.

Following the ceremony, the wedding party and guests partied at the Brighton Sea Baths.  The staff gave them the most outstanding and professional service.  Instead of one large cake, they chose beach themed cupcakes from The Cupcake Kitchen, where Anna provided professional service and, of course, delicious cake.  Her invitations were very important to her and she spent hours making ones that looked like beach huts, in keeping with her theme.  Being a creative person, Kirralee also had lots of ideas on how she wanted their reception to look.  Amos and Smith, florist and stylist, did the most amazing job.  Everyone commented on how amazing the reception was styled.  According to Kirralee, "it is all the small details that make the difference".

Kirralee and David were married on March 7th, 2010.
